Heritage Malta - Ggantija Temples - Visitors Center project

When the Republic of Malta decided to upgrade the tourist facilities at the prehistoric Ggantija Temples complex in Gozo, one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites, they were faced with the challenge of providing a wealth of information in an interactive, on-demand format suited to today's international visitors.

So Heritage Malta, the national agency responsible for cultural heritage sites, and the Vodafone Malta Foundation, with support from the European Union, turned to a local firm, Cyberspace Solutions Ltd., for the solution.

And Cyberspace Solutions - in need of durable and attractive touch-screen kiosks for the new Ggantija Temples Visitors Center - turned to us.

With an innovative approach, Focus Centered Media designers adapted the hardware of our eye-catching and easy-to-use Mercury kiosk to the semi-outdoor conditions at the ancient site. Highly weather resistant, the customized kiosks provide high end-user QOE, even in bright outdoor conditions, without losing any functionality.

Incorporating an interactive display in six languages, developed by Cyberspace Solutions, the Focus kiosks will serve as multimedia maps, user-friendly educational tools and tourist information guides for Malta's one million annual visitors.

For the sensitive Ggantija visitors center project, Cyberspace undoubtedly selected the Mercury kiosk for its durability - absolutely necessary with such large numbers of tourists - but also for its sleek design. Compact and adaptable, with elegant functionality and state-of-the art technology, Mercury is indeed the ideal choice for interactive information systems across a wide array of industries.
