Intel - The 'Green Building' Project

On the campus of Intel Corporation's newest "green building" - Intel Development Center 9 (IDC 9) in Haifa, Israel - Focus Centered Media and Dofinity Ltd. are collaborating to provide the international powerhouse with a kiosk-based solution for on-demand interactivity with suppliers, employees and visitors.

Intel wanted to provide several contact points in the lobbies of the IDC 9 that would serve as both self-service terminals and informational directories for building visitors. To meet the client's requirements, we integrated Dofinity's user-friendly interface software with a customized line of our state-of-the-art Mercury kiosks.

The terminals we designed and manufactured for Intel include a mini-keyboard, an electronic signature pad and a barcode reader. These features allow suppliers and Intel personnel to register deliveries, fill in relevant forms on-line or sign in for authentication. We also fronted the compact and durable Mercury cabinet, as well as its generous touch screen, with a tailor-made graphic vinyl reflecting the "green" theme of IDC 9. To protect these unique terminals, we incorporated our enhanced security features, such as floor-bolting brackets and six-millimeter-thick protective glass.

With the seamlessly integrated and custom-built solution provided by Dofinity and Focus, Intel was assured of a minimal ongoing investment in maintenance, along with a comprehensive and easy-to-use content management system.
